   OC Aerosol User Course

THE PRIMARY PURPOSE:

OC aerosol products are designed to decrease the potential for injury to officers, suspects and the general public when properly employed. This 4 hour OC Spray user course will cover the chemical makeup, types of OC and its effects, deployment techniques, first aid and decontamination, legal limitations, and storage and disposal. The student will participate in both inert and live agents drills. This course does not require every student to get sprayed based on job requirements. A mandatory written exam must be passed and each student will be issued a certificate of completion good for one year.

Training will consist of classroom instruction and drills will be on an approved indoor/outdoor range.
